Grants are now available for new central heating systems under a new central government scheme.
Installation of your new central heating system could be carried out within just 24 – 72 hours in emergency cases or where you are without heat or hot water.
Please note; New central heating grants are only available where the property has no existing central heating system, it is classified as “First Time Central Heating”. You may qualify if your existing heating is currently “electric” or “electric storage heating”.
A new central heating system for your home will make it warmer and can also be significantly cheaper to run than old or alternative systems or ways of heating your home. You never have to repay the grant, it can also significantly increase the value of your home as well as help the government achieves its target of reducing the carbon emissions that are emitted from poorly heated and insulated homes.
The central heating system must be installed by a Gas Safe installer who is TrustMark registered under the new scheme. Your new central heating system will usually be installed totally free following changes to the previous scheme.
Please note; Some applicants may only receive a partial grant towards the overall cost, this may apply to certain property types or for non-standard installations.

About the schemes – Free Central Heating Stretton;
The schemes are a central government initiative and are primarily designed to help keep us warm and to reduce carbon emissions that are produced when we heat our homes.
The government has committed to reducing the UK’s total carbon emissions under ambitious targets and is looking to be one of the first countries in the world to achieve net-zero carbon emissions.
Reducing pollution and carbon emissions has had cross-party political support for many years with subsequent governments increasing the overall commitment to current and new schemes and continuing to increase the funding levels available.
